October guest speaker:

Jordan Hobson presents

“Historic homes of East Volusia”

A wonderful journey through East Volusia history of homes!

Houses tell the human side of history and their stories are intertwined with those of their owners.

Homes feature Clyde Morris’s home, the home of a Titanic survivor and many more...

including our very own Hotchkiss House.

Jordan Hobson Vice President of Holly Hill Historic Preservation Society specializes in research on historic homes in East Volusia County. As the son and grandson of brick masons he has a deep appreciation for architecture and masonry. He moved to the area at a very young age but his family has ties to the area all the way back to the 1960’s. Born in 1988, in London, Ky in the foothills of the Appalachians, both sides of his family have deep roots in Appalachia. He's been interested in history his whole life and loves to tell stories from the past, and especially of important people who called our area home.
